Kids say the darndest things, and as this list proves, they also write them. We should be used to the peculiarities that kids come up with by now given that the very survival of our species relies upon their existence, however, they remain a firm source of hilarity.

As a side note, has anyone ever used the word “darndest” in any other context other than when talking about what kids say? Is it even a real word?

If this kid finds writing 200 words “torture”, then school/college/adult life is going to be Guantanamo times a billion.

This is a fantastic list and I’ve got a very similar list at home. It’s been there since I too was a kind. In fact, this could very well be my list. Inflation has meant that I’ve written over the “$100” bit a few times,and I’m no closer to 2 and 3, but at least I’ve got goals!
